Mission + Vision

Our Mission

To be a multicultural family of hope-filled believers who create an environment where the presence of God can rest.

Our Vision

To partner with Heaven to bring transformation to our home, our city and beyond.

We Believe

  • We believe there is one God who lives forever in three person: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (Matthew 28:19)

    • We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to the world speaking to us with authority and without error.  (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

    • We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ the Son, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death for us on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal, physical return to rule the earth in power and love.  (John 1:14-18; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

    • We believe that all mankind are lost in sin and need to turn from it and trust personally in the Savior, Jesus Christ.  All need to be born anew by the Holy Spirit’s power into God’s family.  (Ephesians 2:1-10; John 3:5-7)

    • We believe the Holy Spirit lives in us as believers and brings love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control into our lives.  He works in and through us with His charismatic gifts.  (Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians12:7-11)

    • We believe in the resurrection of every person; to eternal life for the believer and eternal judgment for the lost.  (Matthew 25:31-46)

    • We believe in unity for all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and seek community together; we want to become more like Him in every way, who is the head of His body, the Church.  We are called to love Him and one another and are enabled to do this only as His life flows throughout us.  (1Corinthians 12:12-13; Matthew 22:37-40)

Core Truths

  • We know God as our father. We have experienced his goodness. We believe in his generosity.

  • Jesus is the greatest person who ever lived. His life, death and resurrection changed the world. Everything we have or will have comes from him. We live our lives to worship, obey and follow Jesus Christ.

Values

Love

Our standard is love.

“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”

1 JOHN 4:11

Honor

We honor every person.

“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

ROM. 12:10

Service

We serve others before ourselves.

“…just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

MATT. 20:28

Primary
Expressions

Our Primary Expressions are a reflection of Acts 2:42-47:

“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.  A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.”

  • As followers of Jesus, we continuously seek to hear, know, study, and obey His Word.

  • Our love for Jesus always finds expression in our love for one another.

  • Worship brings us into an awareness of Who Jesus is, empowering us to proclaim His name with authority in prayer.

  • The Holy Spirit empowers us to prophesy, save, heal, and deliver.

  • Out of the abundance of Jesus’ nature and provision, we joyfully give back to Him and to others.
